Why Hire A Coach?

In England, The Angel of the North Sculpture represents Honor and Evolution. The former in recognition of the history of the contribution to the Industrial Revolution, while the latter symbolizes the evolution of our world moving into a postindustrial era and embracing change.

I once read that Change means Movement, which causes Friction, acknowledging that change is difficult. For everyone.

You may choose to hire a coach for a plethora of reasons. You may be grappling with big life decisions. Or you want to become a better leader for your team. The rationale runs the gamut. Everything from macro big picture goals to smaller, more specific areas of life and leadership that you’d like to improve upon.

A few examples:

  • I want to advance my career

  • I want to become a more effective leader

  • I want to create a plan to help me design the life that I want

  • I’m a first-time leader and I feel like an imposter

  • I’m stuck. Help!?!

  • I want to understand what’s holding me back from achieving my full potential

  • I finally made it to the C-suite. But it’s lonely at the top and I need a confidante

  • I want to advance to the C-suite. How do I do that ?

  • I want to move into a new career or role within my current organization

  • I’m a first time CEO. What now?

  • I need help determining appropriate action steps to meet my goals

  • I want to learn better negotiating skills–to value my work appropriately

  • I want to learn better ways of dealing with difficult people in a constructive manner

  • I want to ensure my work is meaningful

  • I want to thrive in my new leadership role–but I need a sounding board

There are many more reasons to consider coaching, including personal reasons that may be unrelated to work. But by addressing them, you’ll put yourself on a trajectory to achieve all that you seek.
